Privacy Policy
How MigraSpace collects, uses and protects your personal data.
Last updated: July 14, 2026.
1. About us
MigraSpace ("platform", "we") is a professional social network connecting immigrants, companies and opportunities. This Privacy Policy explains how we process the personal data of anyone who visits or uses MigraSpace, in accordance with Brazil's General Data Protection Law (LGPD, Law No. 13,709/2018) and the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
2. Data we collect
Data you provide: name, email, password (stored encrypted), country, city, professional field, photo, bio and other information you add to your profile or publish on the platform.
Usage data: pages visited, saved items, interactions, messages and preferences, used to personalize the feed and recommendations.
Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and cookies necessary for the operation and security of the service.
3. How we use your data
We use the data to create and maintain your account; personalise the feed, jobs, grants, communities and the Migration Radar; enable messages and connections; send relevant notifications; prevent fraud and abuse; and meet legal obligations. We process data on the basis of consent, performance of the terms of use and legitimate interest, as applicable.
How the feed is ordered. In “For you” mode, the feed orders content by a score that combines: how recent each item is, application deadlines, your professional field, your migration stage and the interests you chose in your profile, the people you follow and what you did in the feed before (what you saw, opened, saved, liked or hid in the last 60 days). Public content (articles, jobs, grants, events and public profile posts) is described by topic labels generated automatically on a server run by MigraSpace; no data about the reader is sent in that process. On each post, the “Why you are seeing this” menu shows the main reasons and lets you hide what does not interest you. You can switch at any time to “Most recent”, which shows everything in chronological order, without personalisation. Feed usage records are deleted after 120 days.
4. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. Information on your public profile may be visible to other users and to search engines, depending on your settings. We may share data with service providers (hosting, email delivery, notifications) strictly to operate the platform, and with authorities when required by law.
5. Cookies and advertising
We use essential cookies for authentication, security and preferences (such as the selected country and language). When there are ads, Google and its partners use cookies to show them: third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website or other websites. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ad Settings. The full list, with how long each cookie lasts and how to refuse them, is in the cookie policy.
6. Security and retention
We adopt technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including password encryption and access controls. We keep data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described or as required by law. No system is 100% secure, but we work continuously to reduce risks.
7. Your rights
You can access, correct, update or delete your data, request portability, withdraw consent and object to certain processing. Many of these actions are available directly in your profile; for the rest, contact us.
8. Minors
MigraSpace is intended for people over 18. We do not intentionally collect data from minors without the consent of their legal guardians.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy periodically. Relevant changes will be communicated on the platform, and the "last updated" date will be revised.
10. Contact
To exercise your rights or ask questions about privacy, contact us through the Contact or by email contato@migraspace.com.
